    How it works

    Step 1

    See your GP

Ask for a referral to a psychologist. Your GP also handles your certificate of capacity.

    Step 2

    Gather your claim details

Your claim number and your agent's name and contact details. They're on letters from WorkSafe or your agent.

    Step 3

    Book a free call

Mention WorkCover when you book. Ben will check it's a good fit and confirm approval with your agent before your first session.

    Step 4

    We bill your agent

We bill WorkSafe's share of approved sessions to your agent and send them the treatment plans and progress reports they need.

Still waiting for a decision on your claim?

WorkSafe may cover your treatment for up to 13 weeks while it assesses your mental injury claim. These are called provisional payments. Your WorkSafe agent can let you know if you're eligible. If you are, you can book with Ben as usual.

    What we can help with

Work-related injuries affect more than work. Sessions can focus on:

    Work stress and burnout

When workload or pressure has worn you down.

    Bullying and conflict

Recovering from difficult people or workplaces.

    Anxiety after an incident

Worry, sleep problems or dread that started at work.

    Adjusting to a physical injury

Low mood, frustration or pain that's hard to live with.

    Returning to work

Confidence and a plan for going back, at your pace.

    ADHD at work

When a work injury and ADHD overlap.

    WorkCover Cost

WorkSafe pays part of each approved session at its set rate, and we bill your agent for that part directly. Our fee is higher than WorkSafe's rate, so there's a gap for you to pay. We'll go through the costs with you before your first appointment.

    Privacy

Your agent receives what's needed to approve treatment: treatment plans and progress reports. What you talk about in sessions stays between you and Ben, and your employer doesn't see your notes.

    Where

Kew (605/1 Princess St), Fitzroy (Studio 17, 105 Victoria St), or telehealth video from home.
